Default Youth Motorcycle Helmets

Hi There:

My son is about to turn 9 and I am going to start [albeit slowly] taking along him for short rides.

Can anyone recommend a good source for motorcycle helmets for his age group?

Or if anyhow has a particular preference on a certain model, by all means, please share it!

Thanks in advance!

Buy a quality helmet, in the correct size. When they grow out of it sell it and replace with another. Als if you have intercom on your bike get a head set install so that you can talk to them. You dont know what they are doing behind you. I would talk to my daughter and when she got quiet it was time to pull over because she would start to fall asleep, just like her mom. I learned that 15-20 minutes was her max before a stop to streach. All local riding on back roads. I also would tell her what I was about to do so that it didnt suprise herm and she would let me know when she was getting drowsy.
Had a full face ARAI with head set, lil Leather Jacket, boots, gloves. She doesn't ride anymore but I still have the helmet and jacket for memories.

as far a finding a place to purchase a helmet for a child I'd recommend a place near you that sells dirt bikes. They sell alot more in the way of accessories and gear for kids that a HD shop ever will. Probably a Honda or Yamaha shop would be best as they sell bikes for that age group more than most.
