Default shovelhead trade opinions??

i had a post a few weeks ago about all the stupid offers i have had wanting to trade for my shovel flh.just got another offer and was wondering what you guys thought about it. im really thinking about trading.it is a kenny boyce pro street fxr.it looks pretty good, has delcro cases, inverted forks. some of the chrome is pitting/flaking on the fork.my chrome isnt perfect ether so even thou the inverted fork is one of hte the main selling points for me, i think i can still live with it. what do you guys think.

It's the choice between globetrotter and barhopper, it seems. Whatever best suits your needs.

Both bikes are pretty awesome. Personally I would stick with the FLH, but if you are going to trade it for an FX bike, a FXR would be the top of my list.

People can really suck! I told a guy over the phone that I would be over the next day and, if everything was as described, would have the cash in hand to pay his asking price ( was good deal). I took the next day off work, got cash out of the bank, drove an hour and a half to where he lived, and when I tried to give him the cash, he said he had an emergency and had to leave. I gave him my cell number and told him to call when he would return and that I would hang out until then(he knew I drove a long way and took a day off work). My wife and I had lunch, shopped, etc. and 4 hours later he calls and says he couldn't finalize the deal until two days later. Long story short, he e-mails me the next morning and says he had an overwhelming response to his add and decided to raise the price $1,000. No integrity and no ***** to tell me what was going on. From my experience, there are a lot of good, honest, and integral people out there too.

Speaking from expierience......If you get rid of the Shovel eventually you'll regret it.

If you've got a 'HD' FLH, you were offered a trade for a 'Special Construction,' ie a homebuilt.

I like the Boyce project bike from the pics, but they're even tougher to insure ...and someday sell.

I'm sure you'll find the right deal out there, ( I'd love to own a Shovel again someday myself!)

Im thinking about trading my 70 GMC Pickup that I have been restoring for the last 2 years. Mainly looking to trade for a shovel or other Harley larger than my Sporty.
