Enjoy your bike. Be careful with your bike and even more with your girlfriend.
LOL I seriously almost waited a day to post this due to that crazy thread, but I figured you all would see the difference between captain speed racer and myself.

Oh, and just to back this all up with some history, here are some pics Killboy took of me on that Warrior while slaying the dragon (still rocking my Buell helmet back then lol):

Congrats on the sporty. They are great fun to ride... though I would've gone with a 1200...

CB350F was my fist street bike, it had vw tips welded to each header pipe for exhaust and would make a whopping 65mph. Have some interesting stories that involved that bike. Second was a 75 Kaw 500 triple, which I still wish I had kept. First bike I wrecked on the street... and then I took a hiatus for a while...

The funny thing is I've had two really fast bikes, and at this point in my life I'm looking forward to slowing the heck down on the street.

I'll still keep a track bike and drag a knee out on the tarmac where its safe to do so...but on the street these days, I'm all about just cruising and listening to the rumble as I watch the scenery roll by. That is why I didn't try to get the 1200 (I certainly could have afforded it).

congrats on the new bike and welcome to the forum.
Sence you are ready to slow down and smell the
roses, enjoy that 883, but when you out grow it
skip the dynas, and soft tails, and just go right on
into the roadking. Take care of that little gal, she
looks like a keeper

And as Captain Chaos departs, Parabellum9x19 arrives! Come on in, the Kool Aid is nice and warm.

Seriously though - it sounds like you got the right bike (and the right girl ) at the right time.

You might wanna look into a Stage 1 on your bike at some point. It'll really wake it up a bit without ruining your hearing. And I'm with you on the 883 vs. 1200 Sportsters. I've ridden both and preferred the way the 883 delivered it's power.

Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!

Grats on the new ride. My first Harley was a 1200C Sporty and I do have fond memories of the times spent on her, but my Street Glide does give me the Harley Grin.
