You run into a swarm and it's like riding through a dense, black snowstorm.

 

june bugs are pretty mean in Va as well... i hit at about 80-85mph with my hgalf helmet on and got a black eye and a swollen cheek... it looked like i got hit tigers wife...

 

Two things...lived in Tampa for 8 years and dreaded LoveBug seasons each of them. And Chunker, us "older Harley types" have known all along what sex is as evidenced by you "younger Harley types." We may be aging, but just because many of us retire in our 60s doesn't mean we quit working completely...if you get my drift...;-)!

 

It's not a 'love bug'....there are THOUSANDs of them. Supposedly, they are attracted
to engine exhaust (and each other)....so highways and intersections are prime love bug kill zones. Wax up the bike before the season' and carry a small can of Plexis with you. Kill as many of them b-stards as you can.
