not really sure where this is supposed to be posted...i have ridden without a helmet for a while, after heavy pressure from the warden and just trying to be smart, i searched and searched, read reviews, and i finally landed on the bell drifter hide leather covered helmet...just wanted to pass on that it is very lightweight and comfortable, the mushroom head is minimized for a dot helmet...it took me a while to pick one, and did it based on reviews, just thought i would pass on my .02, hope this helps...the helmet really does look cool.

 

I just pick up the drifter skull helmet on sale for 39 bucks. But I just can't get it to break in right. It's been about 3 months now and if I do'nt wear it very tight ever time I hit 60mph the dame thing slides to the back of my head. And I never had a problem with a helmet in 30 years of riding.

 

My last helmet was a drifter. I think they're designed to catch the slightest amount of wind and fly upwards. It was constantly trying to pull my head off.

 

Funny I have the same problem with my drifter helmet. Unless I really tighten it the wind blows it back on my head. Didn't have this problem with other helmets. I thought it was just me, but I guess it's not.
