Default Bike Rental in Arizona

Any good places to rent motorcycles west of Pheonix Arizona? Going west for business and would like to ride a scoot while there.

Anybody know the helmet laws in AZ?

Thanks,

Rented from Chandler HD a few years ago. Bikes were new, price was fair and service was excellent.

Rented from Buddy Stubbs for a week a few years ago and worked out great. But I would highly recommend doing a thorough inspection of the bike before you signoff for it and note any issues. Otherwise you might get blamed and charged for prior issues.

Only people that need to wear a helmet are minors weather a passenger or not. Other than that, no helmet laws here in AZ. But if you rent a bike in AZ, they may want you to wear one for their liability issues.

Your just not allowed to take any rental bikes into Mexico.

I rented a FatBoy Low at Arrowhead Harley a couple years ago. Its in Peoria right off the 101 at Bell. I wasn't used to the low and scraped the foot pads alot luckily they didn't make me pay for the damage. About the riding out there...awesome. I went north of Cave Creek up to the lake during the spring. They had an unusual spring and the whole desert was green. a really cool sight to see. It was worth every penny renting out there.

Depending on how far "west" your going you can rent from either Buddy Stubbs Harley or Arrowhead Harley. Buddy Stubbs has insurance available. Arrowhead requires you to provide insurance. Make sure your insurance company will cover you before you go.

Arrowhead is the furthest west harley dealer so based off of where you are going keep that in mind.

Helmets are an option in AZ. But you can rent one from either place if you want one. Also you can rent rain gear.

Enjoy your time in AZ.

Did the same thing last year. Hhad a meeting in Scottsdale & went out a few days early. I rented from Hacienda. Great people. I was a couple hours late getting the bike back & they didn't charge me. No helmet law, but they gave me one with the rental.

Rent rain gear in AZ?

I was out on a group ride the other day with the Chandler HD HOG chapter and it started to drizzle. When we got to our destination, the Road Captain mentioned that he considered pulling us over to let us put on our rain gear. I laughed... I haven't owned rain gear since I was a kid in California 30+ years ago! LOL

Thanks for all of the info. I was leaning towards Arrowhead since it seems to be in the general vicinity of where I will be. Can't wait to get there, sounds like it will be a good experience! I would love to have my SG there but this will give me a chance to check out a different bike.
Thanks again,
dmc1
