If you have the time take a ride to Tortilla Flats and have lunch. If you are a big eater the nacho Grande are great. Also there is a 250 mile loop that goes to Globe on 60 and then take 77 to 79 and back up. A couple of my favorite rides.

 

There are 3 damned lakes North east of Phoenix and you will go through Tortilla flats. Its a great winding road up through the mountain, its a great ride!

 

But from Tortilla Flats to Roosevelt lake is all dirt road.
