goggles or Rx riding glasses
For those of you who do not wear a full helmet and do not use a visor and have to wear glasses, what was the best choice for you: Goggles over glasses, or Rx riding glasses?

I use goggles over my glasses. The Scotts I bought have a foam between the lense and the part that contacts my face so no fogging in the rain. Love em over the cost of RX riding glasses.

I've been looking to buy a pair of Rx sunglasses for riding. That is until I looked at the prices. One vendor is asking close to $500. I currently wear a modular helmet with sun-visor and shield. I suspect I'll go with goggles when I get a half- or 3/4 helmet unless there is a built-in sun-visor.

Goggles over glasses has another advantage: more protection for your eyes from flying debris. One strike in the face from a June bug at highway speed will make you a big believer in goggles.

I just had a pair of presciption sunglasses made. They have single vision transition lenses. I was considering WileyX frames, but since my prescription was so strong, my optician recommended sunglasses frames by an outfit in Santa Cruz, CA called Bucci (yeah, like Gucci, except with a B, LOL!). They ran me $250 complete. They would have cost the same with the WileyX frame. Shop around, some opticians will be as competitive as possible with Internet vendors. I could have bought WileyX prescription sunglasses online for just under $200, but it was good to try on frames and get someone's advice.
I wear my prescription sunglasses with a half helmet for around town and short rides. For longer rides I wear a FF helmet that accomodates my everyday prescription eyewear.

These are some of the best prices you will see. And I've heard nothing but great things about this place.
