HD Demo day ride today
Went to a demo day today....rode 3 of the 2012 models. What a great way to ride anything you want. Mo Co does a nice job with this.
So when you think you want to buy something.....just find the demo day and ride anything you want. Don't buy anything until you try. Today they allowed about a 20 minute ride...plenty of time to feel the bike and evaluate.
Just thought I'd share. I rode the CVO Road Glide..Night Rod Special...and Dyna Street Bob. All 3 nice...depends on what you are looking for...first two I listed are real nice!

I really would love to ride a touring model as I'm looking for something more comfortable for the long hauls. How do you manage to ride with the fairing? I don't particularly care for how much it blocks my view of the road in front of me, vs. my Sportster. Then again I can't see the road when I'm in my cage, either.

When I was going to buy my bike at HD I knew my price range. The salesman showed me what my options were. But then he said, "But check out this nice 2010 Road King, do you want to take THIS ONE for a spin?" I was like, "no way. If I come home with that one, my wife is gonna kill me."

Last year I specifically road a SG and Ultra because I was interested in the Touring bikes but hadn't ridden one yet.
That and then seeing my bike the next week in the showroom with the wrinkle black "dark custom" drivetrain is what convinced me I would be trading my Softail in.
I missed the demo days this year and I'm bummed. I've been wanting to ride a V-Rod for a few years but never seem to get the chance.

The HD dealers around here let you test ride any bike on the floor. Just like car dealers do. Is it not that way at all HD dealers? I would never purchase without test riding first.
