Default Helmet search

My wife's head is narrow (please no pin head jokes) and we have purchased two different 3/4 helmets (she can't tolerate full faced) and after approximately 1 hr of riding her forehead is throbbing. When she removes the helmet there is an angry red mark accross her brow.

Does anyone have any suggestions for 3/4 helmet, price is of no concern as I want her to be comfortable.

Thanks,
Mike

Bell helmets tend to be on the narrow side. Also this link has reviews on helments and headshapes associated with the helmets. You also have Arai's but you might have to try before you buy.

My wife had the same situation. She wears an XS Arai 3/4 that was custom fitted to her (pin!) head by the salesman. Several of the pads were removed and replaced with "thicker here, thinner there" until a good fit was achieved. She loves the helmet and it is the only one that has really ever worked well for her.
Good luck.

Arai is the way to go for oval shaped head.

I also have a narrow small head and after a couple of HJC's I tried the Bell 500. It's light, comfy and fits me just great. Now I can stop looking around for something else, which is a relief.

The only company to make mulitple helmet shapes is Arai - the Arai Profile is made for long oval (thin) heads but is a FF............get her to try it before she says no, IMO Arai makes the best fitting and most comfortable lids.

Ya, Some just cant but others like me feel naked without one. If it were me I'd get her in a shop that has then and do the "just try it honey" line. You never know.

Plug in the die grinder

You can peel back the lining and take some foam out. Then use spray glue to put the liner back in.
Below is my daily ride bucket that was done in 1986 a few months after I bought it.

I too have been blessed with an oval head and have also experienced the squeezing of the forehead on a ride. Last helmet I bought is a Fulmer V2 Captain America. Probably the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn.
