I think I'll sue the MOCO for coercing me into buying one of their motorcycles. I got caught up in all their slick deceptive advertising. wonder what a lawyer can get me?

I hope all the exgirlfriends I had in college that had Ka branded on their leg from the exhaust on my Kawasaki GPZ don't try to sue me. I don't get to ride with chicks in miniskirts anymore...

the precedence for not throwing out the case was the claim by the plaintiff's that Harley had knowledge of heat related issues of their twin cam motors which had they disclosed, the plaintiffs would have made alternate consumer choices.

I tend to agree, had Harley told me what they knew about inner bearing failures, crank bang grind startups, excessive engine heat which is incompatible with metro stop and go driving, etc, etc, etc, I would have also made alternative consumer choices.

There's been no acknowledgement from harley about any of these issues.

all of this got me thinking - who MADE the complainants ride Harleys? were they forced to only have Harleys? did the MOCO deny them the right to get a watercooled metric?

My Yamaha Roadliner was 1854 CC, way bigger than anything HD makes and it didn't put out the heat these bikes do. And yes, it was air cooled. If Yamaha can figure it out why cant Harley?
You can read why in any thread about harley davidson engines.

Wow, what a lame lawsuit.

My VTX 1800 is liquid cooled and kicks out as much heat as the EG Ultra I demo'ed last week (which I loved and will be selling the VTX for an Electra Glide in the Spring)

I wonder if the girls suing HD realized that the internal combustion engine generates a little heat?

If those four pansy plaintiffs can't take the heat they should be riding Gold Wings or better yet, Vespa scooters.

I was a litigation manager for a major insurer for 16+ years, The main problem with class action lawsuits is that the attorneys are first in line to be reimbursed for their billable hours and expenses. The actual plaintiffs more often than not end up with very little money after the lawyers add up their bills.

Many if not most class actions are initiated by law firms, then they look for plaintiffs. Ever seen an attorney on TV looking for clients for asbestos related injuries or some other issues?

Unfortunately, our legal system - as good as it is as compared to other countries - was designed by attorneys for the benefit of themselves, not the general population.
