You could scuff and shoot it with a flat clear, but that won't quite be denim. For that you have to go to House of Kolors, and maybe Alsa for a nice, soft, denim clear.

 

You would want to get some eggshell clear from Colorrite

I went looking at that site, they don't carry my color.

 

It is the clear that makes the denim. I think its a matter of how much you put on as to how flat looking it is.

My first bike was a denim black Iron and I loved it for the ease of maintenance. I don't like washing or polishing, I just like to ride and maybe dust the bike every so often. My 09 RK is more than I want for upkeep of a bike. If I could rub something onto the gloss black that would turn it flat I would do it in a minute. Haven't come across anything yet.

 

Have my ex wife breathe on your glossy paint, it would turn it into denim... but then again it may turn it into rust.
