Default Riding lights on a budget

I wanted to add a little more lighting on the front of the bike for night riding, but man everything I looked at was expensive. So I bought some nice little lights on Ebay cheap.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...#ht_4394wt_939

I then mounted the lights on an old set of highway peg mounts I had removed when I installed the engine guard and pegs.

And this is what I came up with.

Poor people way poor ways, but it works for me.

I connected the lights to the run side of the turn signal. They are dual element lights and I may try to hook them up to work with the turn signals someday.

Looks good to me. I say, the more light, the better. I don't know if I'd make 'em work as turn signals, though. But that's just me. You do what you want... I'm tired of having to make everybody else's decisions for them.

Good idea. Lights are good.

I just paid extra on my 2012 FXDC to have the rear turn signals running and brake light. May not look as cool, but nice to be seen.

It does look good. How's the build quality? The lenses aren't glass are they?

Trains now use a pair of ditch lights, on the lower part of the train, in addition to the headlight. It gives a triangle pattern that attracts attention to you, which is what you want.

I found some rear Dyna tail lights on flee-bay. Bought some clear lens', some led conversion bulbs, and some front fork brackets. I like the white light, not glaring, but noticeable. To bad i can't afford a led head light. The bullet light I have sucks for night riding.

The quality of the lights is pretty good. They are metal cases with plastic lenses.

Only time will tell how the chrome holds up, but for the price it was worth a try.
