powdercoat oven

Never powder coat in your house oven. Poisonous fumes will stay in your oven and get into your food and possibly kill you.
If your coating small parts you can use a toaster oven from Wally World. It works great for small parts and you can leave it in the garage.

thanks for the replies, i quess i didn't explain. I have an old gas oven in the shop that came out of the house. Wil use it outside if gas is ok to use or must it be done in a electric oven. I am asking will the gas vapors change the way it cures or the chemistry of the material.

As others have said, don't cook any food in an oven you've used for powder coating.
As far as you're question is concerned, I got quite a few hits when I typed "Can I use my gas oven to powder coat" in my 'bing' search engine.
General concensus is 'yes' as long as you keep the object being coated away from the flame

Before retirement, I was our divisions Safety rep for the last 7yrs, One Thanksgiving I was talking to a friend that said we're have a full blown Turkey dinner at lunch.
I asked him where they are cooking the Turkeys, (Three big ones), He said in the powder coating ovens. Holly crap...
I was on a lot of peoples Chit list when I made them throw the the Turkeys out...
Most understood when realized what they had done and what could happen to them if they ate them.
