Here in VA we FINALLY passed a law that allows a motorcycle to legally run a red light if the sensor does not pick up the bike and give a green light after two cycles. It would be nice if it were legal to split lanes in certain situations, but I do not see that ever happening here. I have been known to split lanes from time to time, but only when traffic is stopped for a while and I want to get off the interstate, and frankly, I do not care if people like it or not unless they have a little blue light on top of their car.

if you can't hold on with both hands because you have carpal tunnel in both hands, do you just put the cruise control on when you are on the highway?

Shot from my slow moving truck.
I don't think so, and I ride in central London every day.
