Default Jay Brake Question

I am trying to help out a buddy who has a hydraulic clutch issue and need some advice. We bought a rebuild kit for the master cylinder and the clutch works fine now until we put the cover on the master cylinder. Then nothing. Anyone have a clue as to what is going on ? We followed the directions and have tried several times with the same results.

hey medina charlie,
hope you guys have found the problem by now, if not I would give jaybrake a call to see if they have a tech they can put on the phone.
hydraulic clutch is the cats *** when they work but run out of juice or a bad o-ring its not fun.
It's simple to say or think they work just like the front brake on the handle bar but when you hit a snag like you guys have it sucks...
good luck, I'm curious to see what it was.

do you have the reservoir too full? if so there is no place for the fluid to come back in the reservoir to allow clutch to release give it a little air space

The diaphram must move and remained sealed. If the vent hole above the diaphram is cloged the diaphram cannot move with the fluid. If it does not have a hole in the cover it may have a plastic spacer that goes onto the diaphram which will act as the vent hole.
