A friend of mine bought a 2006 FLST. The color is purple and red.The dealer told him that the paint is one in a hundred done.Is there a way to find this out?Or was it just a sell tactic?? thanks

 

Hds sales alot of limited paints, I have seen many and they all usually have the 1 of 100 etc on the paint somewhere.

 

My paint is 167/200,there will be a very small number on the right rear of gas tank,along with the H.D.bar and sheild.The H.D.catalog also shows factory limited series tins.

 

Depending on the design I've seen as many as 400 painted on the side of these tanks and they are all numbered on the side close to the seat of the bike like flstfjeff noted, you can't miss it.
