Easily done.

As they say in engineering, "after the last of 48 bolts holding on an inspection cover has been undone, it will be discovered that the wrong inspection cover has been removed"

They all have that 1/4" gap. There have been threads about this in the past. Mine has the gap as well. It whistled like crazy in the wind too. I needed to put some weather stripping around the inside of it to get it to stop. All is well now.
