stripped torx screw on clutch inspection cover

One other note...you might want to resist the urge to use thread locker on the new bolts. That may be why they stripped in the first place (at least that's what caused mine to strip).
Just make sure you torque them to the proper specs when you put the cover back on.

Stripped Torx
Do you know anything about using l/h drill bits ? They may get it out before you have to use an easy out.
BTW the proper size to use is T27 not a 25...that's how lots of them get stripped.

I have done it this way, but the bolt was to small to grab with pliers. I cut a groove in the bolt with my Dremel and used a flat head screwdriver and twisted it out

I've used a dremel to cut a slot in the head and used a small flat head screwdriver
Safest way vs drilling out and maybe damaging the threads

Add me to cut a slot with a Dremel. I just had to do this last month. After that I changed them to allens. The heads seemed a little soft and even with a good T-27 got sloppy after a few years.

I second the advice of replacing with an allen head once you get it out. I don't know why they use crap torx head screws and bolts in the first place. Everyone owns allen wrenches, and they don't strip nearly as easy. I've been down this road several times with torx and phillips head.

T-27 bit is the correct one.....I have always drilled the head until it fell off, took the cover off and then unscrewed the remaining part of the screw with some pliers.
