My father-in-law and I did some work on our bikes today and decided to take them out for a late evening ride. Long story shorter, we got just outside of town and he t-boned a cow while doing about 65. We're at the ER right now. He was responsive and talked with me till the ambulance showed up. His bike, and his new custom Marine Corp paint job, is a mangled mess. Anyway thanks in advance for any thoughts or prayers sent his way.

 

Marines are tough (even though I am former Army), the fact he was responsive is an excellent sign, I will pray for him. WTF was a cow doing in the road? I'll bet he savors his next steak after this one.

 

Yeah one of the hiway patrolmen was a Marine. One of the younger troopers said to me as the ambulance pulled away "damn that is one tough old bird" and the other told him "of course he is, he's a Marine."

We're still waiting to find out what all his damage is. He's gonna live, but he's gonna be in alot if pain for a good while.

 

The fact he was responsive is an excellent sign
