If you want a Brando style hat, try a surplus store. What those guys were wearing back in the 40's and 50's was a military officer's cap with the stiffener removed, which is what the old HD hats were based on. These days, surplus stores have plenty of old soviet ones, cheap.

I had one like that when I was 10 but it had a white bill. Got a new one from the HD shop last summer for like $30. Not sure if they are still selling them or not. Here is the part number:97855-11VM
