Sounds like a good idea, im not doing nothing more then a day ride at this time due to having kids to tend to, but think that id just enjoy this bike more then what im riding now.
Have fun with it and keep us informed on how you are liking it as time goes by.

Looked at one today and looked pretty nice to me .. 103 Power, ABS and the Wheels looked sharp too ...

Congrats! Nice ride but I had the Signature series seat with the rider back rest & I didn't like it. It pushed me forward way too much & the riders section looked like a zeppelin on the fender. It went right on ebay.
Check it out before you take it home. The Mustangs & Saddlemens seats are much nicer IMHO.

How small or big are the bags compared with the touring versions that everyone is already familiar with?

Question for Fireman - - why do you not like the counterbalanced Heritage?
I am thinking about buying a used one. Currently ride a 2008, 1200 custom, and was told the counterbalanced Heritage would be much smoother. I am a new rider, so do not know much.

congrats mate, I too am seriously considering one of these, when they eventually get over here.love the stripped down look....got a feeling this is going to do really well for HD..
