I still have that shirt somewhere and few less than politically correct ones that wouldn't go over well with the sensitive public we have know .

I wish I had memories of those good old days with wonderful, friendly dealers. When I bought my first new HD the dealers attitude was: the price is the price, if you don't want it someone else does. You get to test ride it after you own it.

Nope - those suck the MOST.
"Warm up the minivan and get my golf sweater, honey, we're going to the microbrewery."
"I don't have to warm it up, you big silly, it's fuel injected."

EXACTAMUNDO!!! 3/4 of the floor room devoted to shorts, pants, hats, belts, shot glasses, coffee cups and the like. Ask for a part and 9 times out of 10 the response is, "we don't have it, but we can order it."

I worked for a few dealers over the years but I've never bought a new bike . Closest I ever got was a 69 BSA I picked up in 1973 , all my harleys have been 10 or more years old .

+2. Just not feeling as much like a part of something unique anymore. Be it out on the road, in a dealership or at a rally. Gettin to where I don't even want to share air with most of the riders I meet anymore. Just ain't the same.
I really prefer to keep to myself and just enjoy the ride. Not sure why I even frequent this forum. Mostly a bunch of PC whinny phuks but I keep commin back. I guess I'm hoping to find some of the ole days but so far it ain't happening. I won't give up though.
