Those temps are hard on man and machine. I dont want my bike idling in those temps. Not worth it.

97 degrees with a dew point of 84 today and I spent 4 hours working inside a grain bin. It was ridiculous in there, when I came outside it felt like air conditioning.

I have a couple of roofers working 3 stories up on a old slate roof. I told them that no way did I want them up there these last few days. Didn't get any argument. It's dangerous enough in normal temps.

Been 100 to 102 with heat indexes in the 115 to 130 range in central IL. My hats off to those of you in West TX, NM and AZ. Like riding inside a damn oven.

Usually the breeze is cooling even in the 90s, not with this ****.

I just bought myself a hydration vest. Haven't tried it out yet. It is a hyperkewl. They're supposed to work well for a couple hours, which by that time you have to stop for gas anyway, so just soak it in the gas station sink and its good again.
I also want to get a hydration neck wrap, but I read in a pinch you can use a Shamwow towel or similar. Soak it, roll it up and wrap it around your neck. They hold a lot more water than a bandana.
Apparently cool neck wraps make a lot of difference because you have major arteries in your neck and cooling them off helps a lot. Just like having an oil cooler on your bike.

I don't mind the heat at all. right around 100, give or take here the past few days. I'll take the heat over the cold any day. I kinda like the blast furnace feeling in my face at 70 mph. makes me appreciate the pool that much more.

There is not much that stops me from riding... though I will admit that cold will do it faster than heat, comparitively speaking...

Yup. Sure enough is warm outside for sure! Anyone care to guess what the complaints will be about in the next ...say...4 to 6 months? It may be hot but I say enjoy it while ya can. Especially you (and us former) northerners.
