After much introspection, I'm totally sold on this bike now. I actually think the wheels are brilliant. They look like Mustang Bullitt wheels, which is pretty awesome. It just so happens that my wife, in-laws, and kids are on a vacation in Alaska. Seems to me to be the perfect time to surprise my wife with my new bike when she returns in 10 days.

I need this bike. My Sporty is a wonderful bike, albeit a bit small. The softails do *nothing* for me and I'm not quite ready for full on bagger. Enter the Switchback.

I have to say that I am interested in this bike and cant wait to see one in person, and if I like it as much as I do now I will be trying to trade my heritage for one.
I love my bike but dont like the counterbalanced engine, if it wasnt for that I would be happy with what I have.
I hope the Harley tractor trailer I saw at my dealer this afternoon was offloading at least one of these, I will go find out tomorrow.

Surprisingly the Honda VTX forum is giving it high marks

Doesn't surprise me. When I first saw it the first thing that popped into my head was.... dare I say it.... Honda Shadow!

Didn't care for it on the HD site. Can see the attraction looking at the pics Sm0kediver took. Still not my thing, died in the wool tourer/retro/bagger (didn't we used to say dresser?) type of guy but I see that bike would appeal to many. More so then the website first impression.

Maybe HD should can their photographer.....

I like the look of it, but the price is too high and too close to a Road King (only $1500 more). I think most folks looking for this type of bike would spend the extra money and get the real thing.

I too like the looks of it but I agree to close in price to a Road King to not step up

Agreed, using some of this logic a Road King should not exist, everyone should just step up to a FLHTC

Using the logic of bigger is better, skip the Road King and get a mini van

I saw one before I got another road king, kinda cool, if you a city messenger or something.
Just thought the bags were too small, kinda unfinished looking, I thought it's cool its different but it's missing something
