Switchback????

The ones that don't like it must have short memories or were not born yet when the original FX came out. It was built by taking bags, windsheild, etc. off of a bagger and putting on sportster forks. So whats wrong with replacing what was taken off years ago?............The newer baggers are much bigger and heavier than they need to be and lots of us love this Retro approach.

Thanks for the info. I'll be heading to Earl Small's this weekend to take a look. I think it's a good looking bike. Removable bags and windshield and lighter than the Road King. It might make a good 2nd bike.

I like it. Already talked to the dealer today.
Every one is entitled to their opinion regardless of it's merit.
Surprisingly the Honda VTX forum is giving it high marks.

I really am starting to like this bike. The real pics make it look much better then pics on HD's web site. I really like that red also. If I had the cash for a second bike I would seriously consider this one.

I like it a LOT, and I tend to be a more "outspoken" critic on here.
-The wheels "do-it" for me as I HATE bias ply tubed tires.
-the overall look is very nice although I think the HUGE fork covers on the front are a bit overdone.
-Quick detach hard bags and windshield =
-103/6sp in a Dyna isn't a bad combo. I would prefer more power but it should perform OK in that lighter chassis.
-As long as the suspension is'nt low-rent crap and the brakes perform better than they look it should be a pretty darn good package.
Only one problem I see: $16,000 That's WAY too much for a Dyna with bags.

Like I had posted yesterday Nice and also very versatile. I got to see one up close yesterday at OBX HD. My dissapointment was it may not lend itself to be lowered
(vertically challenged) Real nice point jiffy stand in middle of frame.
Also instead of polished alluminum they should have went more chrome or blacked out
I would not trade my FXDLI for it, But from a utilitarian point this bike will make a great bar hopper stripped down, or a tourer slash commuter loaded up.
This bike is what a lot of folks have been asking about.
103 Motor, hard bags, windshield, floorboards

There is definetly a market for this bike. Dyna's have alway been popular & with this bike you get a smaller bagger which are hot right now. Big plus's are quick-detach bags, 103 engine, & 2 into 1 exhaust. If I were to get another bike, I would give it serious consideration. I expect it do well.
