Default Extended warranty question

Will doing a Stage 1 or a race tune on my '07 stock RoadKing void my extended warranty, if I use all Screamin' Eagle parts?

Not 100% sure on this, but you might have to have it installed by an HD dealership for it to cover things. I know that I can do all that and add accessories within the first 60 days of new bike ownership and it is covered by the 2 year factory warranty. I would assume when I purchase the Ext warranty it would still be covered.

I am pretty sure from hearing here all th estories that it depends on the dealer...My service manager isn't an *** so i feel pretty good that if anything happens that wasn'y caused by something i did myself he will cover it.

I was told the warranty covers everything but any non street legal part, which is any stage 1 or better upgrade, those parts will not be covered. Sounds straight forward but could get slippery. I think you need to specifically ask your dealer

I had a stage 1 with SE dealer installed parts on my old '06 Road Glide.
25000 miles later the lifters went bad.I took the bike back to the same dealer for ESP warranty work.No questions asked.
Did not know if it was covered because they had did the install or not.

Had the shift shaft seal replaced at another dealer,no problem.

So to answer your question, may depend on what the SW tells the ESP rep.

No, actually I don't. This is the first bike I have ever owned that had the EXTENDED warranty, AS OPPOSED TO the factory warranty. No worrys with the Factory warranty as I am familiar with what IT covers, & have never had a problem. But the extended is another ballgame. I look at it the same way I look at insurance--they will try ANY tactic to avoid having to do the right thing. Just wanna make sure I'm covered when I do the upgrade, otherwise I will wait 'till it runs out. More interested in cooling the biotch down than performance.

If I wanted to mess with your heads, I would've posted a pic of the massive dump I took last weekend--Man this thing was in the water & ON THE BEACH!!
