Buddy of mine has a 04 Goldwing with 216000 miles on it...has had to do some work to it here and there...changes the oil every 4000 miles with castrol dino and gets on it hard every once in a while...Lot's of plastic on metrics that cracks after several years and looks like crap...HD keeps its form...real chrom and real steel... I am like Brenn also i very rarely see a metric with over 100K... Many HD's...My 07 is at 63000 so i am in line for 100k in a few years..

nothing wrong with metric cruisers as long as you buy the right one ,the triumph rocket 3 is an individually styled bike , not a copy , But a great big piece of British engineering at it best , it has the fastest 0-100 mph of any cruiser and handles very well , its the only one to go for if you want speed , (v-max is way over priced), if you don't want speed , handling , or good brakes then you really need only look at Harley Davidson's , big slow ol bits of ancient american history .
there not that good , but they will still carry a gay man slowly all day without any problems , sometimes 2 gay men can be seen on them , but this is rare because the man on the front needs to be lubed up , and this will mess up the finish on his shinny paint and chrome .
so its your choice , do you buy a fantastic British real mans cruiser with real power and kudos , or an American gay mans **** cannon , that will get you rimmed every time you cruise past your local gay bar .

Harley motorcycles just look better, metric bikes are being pumped out so fast the paint doesn't have time to dry before they redesign the whole bike. More reliable, not really, unless you go back to the original Honda boxer engine of the mid seventies. Use the best oils, filters and gas that you can find; you will get way over 100,000 miles out of a post amc Harley.

Ive tricked out a couple metrics,, dumped all kinds of money into them. They are really fast, never had an issue even with bottles and bottles of nitrous run through them. I bought them new, tricked them out and dumped them after 3--4 years. To me they dont hold there value long enough to keep them. Now I have a 2011 RGC103 than I plan on keeping. Both of these bikes were around $13K each when new, its alot of bike for the buck, if you cant afford a HD.

Thre's one at Sac Harley. Ugly, cheezy styling, poor fit and finish and stupid big. They have the price around $8K and cannot give it away.

First, all British men are gay. You invented that ****, mostly because your women are the ugliest on the planet. Second, the gays-on-harleys thing is an English thing. If you would like to come over here and repeat what you said to the face of 99.9 percent of Harley riders, we would be most happy to relieve you of your ugly yellow teeth.

Third, the Britsh haven't engineered anything of value since 1875. You don't even make cars anymore, most of you are on welfare and Triumphs are ugly pieces of ****.

Last, the French, Dutch, Italians and the Germans regularly kick your *** playing soccer which is puzzling because it's a little girl's game and you are a nation of women and women wannabe's...

I don't know which is funnier.
The H-D bashing or the hardass retort.

On the other hand, my Hayabusa is fast... very, very fast. But the kickstand will drop the bike in a heartbeat, the bars are skinny and really uncomfortable, the seat puts yer butt to sleep within 100 miles, the plastic fairing squeaks and creaks as you ride along, the horn is worthless, the lights not much better.

Replacement parts? The side fairing piece is $575 to replace. Just one piece! The dash is covered in a decal copy of carbon fiber, The fuel injecting uses a fuel enrichener lever to start and the radiator will absolutely cook your leg in hot weather and you cannot get away from it. the oil drain plug leaked oil all over the garage floor because the threading was bad. Had to replace it and it still leaks a bit.

Still and all it is a soulful bike and the best thing to come out of Japan on two wheels. But it sure as hell ain't better built than my two Harleys in the back ground... and water cooling sucks and Brits are all fairies...
