If you were a true friend you would trade bikes with him so he had a good one. As for me I don't have friends.

Forks don't just collapse...there are springs in them...doesn't matter if it's the wrong oil.

Must be a different definition of "collapsed". Mine did this and I rode it home and it wasn't "collapsed"

Sound like his description has some misunderstood issues. Glad he got it fixed. Stuff happens.

Because he got blown up in Iraq he couldnt handel the bigger bikes so he bought a brand new Nightster! Cool little bike if you ask me. Anyway sad to say he has have nothing but problems with it! First problem he had was with the paint, the paint was the custon paint tin option the flat black skull collection paint set which was alot more money. Well to make along story short the paint started bubbling up on him and he said rust was coming threw! took them 6 months to get it fixed. The most recent problem just happed 2 weeks ago. His front forks just pretty much collapsed he took it to the dealer and they said after they looked at it that it had the wrong fork oil in it! How the heck does a brand new bike get the wrong fork oil in it? Anyway they putt heavy weight oil in it and know its fine. But in the end he has only had his first harley for a year now and he is pretty disapointed! I told him i am going on my 4th harley and never had a problem with one of them ever! So what the heack are the harleys getting crappier or is his just a fluke??
Tell your buddy to get on this forum I think ye all would like to thank him for his service and what he gave up for us

Let me see if I understand this correctly.

There is a HD owned by someone else in an other state that claims problems that he told you about. These problems are taken care off.

The description of the problems are second hand by you and not accurate.

HD riders have put engine motor oil, ATF, various grade of hydraulic oil in forks over the years without "collapsing". The only result of that is softer or stiffer dampening.

You intent by your wording was to bash HD. Your use of a passed on second party garbled explanations is without merit.

Therefore I stand firmly that your post is "BS".

Now you have a nice day!
