Couldn't believe how many bikes were there for the parade and downtown.

Local news said approx. 2400 bikes for the parade and over 5000 parked up and down state st. the first night, it was just a sea of motorcycles eveywhere you looked. too cool.

I live only about 20 miles S.W. of erie so we ride in everyday, if your looking to stay overnight you better book your hotel room early as I heard they were all full up. Do a search for erie,pa. I would say the best places to stay will be up by I-90 and Rt. 19 quite a few hotel/motels in that area. Let me know if you need some help I know the area well. Peace

I enjoyed Erie, Gettysburg, and all around that area last year. Great place and super people. I would laugh when they say yous guys come back and I would say yall ha ha ha.

Pennsylvania has got to be one of the best states to visit in my opinion from what I experienced.

If you go to Gettysburg make sure to eat at Runks Kicken Kitchen.

Owner is super and will help you with the history and sites of Gettysburg. Breakfast is really good there also.

I would have guessed more than 2400 and 5000.
Live about 40 miles away across the border.

There were 5 of us that rode from Clifford. We took 81N to 17/86 in NY to Erie. We stayed @ the Avalon which was only about 2 blocks from the festivities. We rode to Dominicks for breakfast then we just went for rides until late in the afternoon. Then we went back to the hotel, parked the bikes and went downtown...god the beer was cold and went down pretty easily
When we left we went a few miles south and picked up Rt. 6 and took that all the way home. That was a great ride!!
