Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE: HOG) reported Q2 EPS of $0.81, $0.10 better than the analyst estimate of $0.71. Revenue for the quarter came in at $1.34 billion versus the consensus estimate of $1.26 billion.
The Company raised its shipment forecast for 2011 and now expects to ship between 228,000 and 235,000 new Harley-Davidson motorcycles to dealers and distributors worldwide, an increase of 8 percent to 12 percent compared to 2010 shipments.

I was personally expecting a shortfall in eps and revenue. Looks like the restructuring costs and very early product announcements really paid off. With tomorrow's second half 2012 product release there may well be a nice bump in HOG over the next few days. I plan to sit in on the shareholders call later. Opens the market today at 41.41
