I do not try and look cool for anyone, especially myself. I look for quality and visibility. My current helmet is yellow and so is my jacket (as well as my moto). The coordination is not a fashion statement - read an interesting article years ago that coordinating the colors makes you easier to see/makes you appear larger.

 

I'm coming from riding sport bikes for a good 10 years. I currently wear the only helmet I have on my deuce which is an arai nakano (graphics etc). It's comfy and safe and it cost me a lot of money a few years ago.

I'm currently shopping for a FF black helmet, maybe modular (although the negative is they are heavier)

Do what you are comfortable with.

 

Fashion questions like a chick magazine. Wear what you want. Get something that matches your eyes.

I switch between a DOT half helmet, that I use for shorter trips around town 'cuz I like the wind, and a Bell FF because it feels safer, warmer, and is quieter and causes less "buffeting" on the highway. My FF looks like below but clear shield. Don't care much about if it looks "cruiser" or not.

FF helmet NO PROBLEM...just wear your speedo and nobody will even notice the helmet

 

I wear a black Shoei ff. Don't care what no one thinks bout it.
