Give us a city and state, if he is legit he should be happy for someone to drop by and verify that he is who he says he is.

Does this sound shady or fishy to anyone?[/QUOTE]
Yes, it sure does. I'd look for another bike if it was me.

Something stinks.
Exactly... This is what made me think it was very shady! I come from the old school: give money, get vehicle and signed title... PERIOD!

Lets say... Starts with an "O", ends with an "O". The closest dealership near him is Hales HD.

It is abnormal - no reason for the conditions seller wants to impose.
Walk away or better yet run away fast.

Thanks for the reinforcement.... This is kind of a warning to some of the other members out there. If something doesn't feel right about the transaction, it's probably isn't.

Don't put the guys name out on the forums, but you should contact the forum moderators and give them a heads up on it!

Oh... I did contact the moderators for the heads up. The dealership is in a nearby town, not where he lives. I did my "due diligence" and am now fully informed as to who he is...

I agree with the others..........no way would I pay in full before seeing the bike, getting the title, and concluding the transaction in person.
