Default 50 dollar deductable on warranty

I got a 10k service this past Monday. While it was in, I wanted a two spot oil leak behind the oil cooler checked out and fixed. I was informed there were two either gaskets or rings that needed to be replaced and they didn't have them in stock. Upon checking out, I was informed that there was a 50 dollar deductible on my extended warranty account and that would be applied to and on the extra service for the leak. I didn't say anything at the time and thought I'd think about it a while and deal with this when the parts came in. Anyone with any experience regarding this? I wasn't even shown any charges for the work up. I have trusted this service department so far, but cracks maya be beginning to appear. Thanks.

I would say so. They don't seem eager to be earning your trust.

I don't see anything wrong with what they're doing. Your factory warranty expired, and there's a 50.00 deductable on the extended warranty. What's the problem?

50.00 deductible on extended warranty is typical when the first warranty has expired. Even with Yamaha, they have the same thing

I wouldn't think they should have charged you that until the repair was done. Make sure they don't try to charge you twice.

Wow.$1500+$50 for a couple o-rings. Good deal for peace of mind.

Yep that's the normal rate deductible for the extended warranty...You should have that in your warranty contract when you bought it...It also cuts down on little nickel and dime claims that some people will try to claim,

Go back and read the fine print. The $50 is standard.
