can't beat a Kermit chair. Mine are probably 10 years old and have countless miles on them.

REI Trail Chair. I took this on my bike to Sturgis last year and I've taken it backpacking as well. It folds completely flat to about 1 1/2" I'm 230# and it holds up just fine. www.rei.com Item # 783805 $19.95

alright i found it

http://www.bluemaxinc.com/

there is a good video there that shows it.

price is good, just find someone to buy the second one and you are in like flint. shoot, just buy 2. for $10 more you got two of them.
1 Chair $28.98 Each (Plus Shipping and Handling)
2 to 8 Chairs $19.98 Each (Plus Shipping and Handling)

so here is the best i can give you as to the pros and cons.

pros:
- price is right.
- very compact. its the smallest chair i know of, that is a full chair.
- J&P sells them. and usually they only sell good stuff.
- made by a guy who rides mostly harleys (is that important)
- is comfortable
- i weigh in at 225 and feel safe on it.
- seems to be made well

cons.
- like a lot of things that comes in a bag, it can be difficult to get it back into the bag. some practice helps
- no arms (the kermit has arms, but is $100 more)
- no extra (then again the price is good so how many extras do i want.
- the first time you set it up can be difficult. but once you get how to do it, its no problem.

comments:
i almost never bring a chair on motorcycle trips. there are any number of other things that come before a chair. that is why i don't have that much experience with it. when i cage it, then i bring some chairs that are not as compact.

when i first got it i did have some trouble getting it set up. but after a couple of times i now have no problem with it.

it is comfortable and for the price i feel it is an amazing value. i was thinking of getting a kermit but didn't like the price. i have the butterfly and although comfortable, it is not what i wanted to get in and out of, although if i was backpacking it would be good.

i also have another one that i have taken along, but its not as comfortable or compact as this one.

so i would recommend this one over any other foldable compact chair that i know of.
