I'm sure there is some significance to the colors being different than usual.

Other than that, not the first time a POW/MIA patch or the Stars & Bars has been seen on a biker's vest.

Thanks for the feed back, I am a supporter of getting all of the POW/MIA accounted for, i am also in the Army currently & i know how quickly the government and the Army will "forget" about you. Thanks to the efforts of alot of people and groups like VNV/LV MC the POW/MIA mission is still going, and we are still searching for the remains of those lost so that their families can have closure.

And why do i fly a confederate battle flag? "it is actually not the [stars & bars] look at the following link for the difference.]

http://www.usflag.org/history/confed...rsandbars.html

First off my families roots run deep in southern soil. It also speaks to me as a symbol of individuality from a oppressive & invasive federal government, the war of northern aggression was not about "slavery" it was about the north going in the opposite direction than that in which our founding fathers intended. And the Souths choice to secede from the union, which is their right "or was supposed to be" as Americans to change the current government rule, by force if necessary if the people view it as not in the interest of the people. It wasn't then and it still Isn't today... so where did slavery come in to play? What was 90% of the Souths economy run on? Slavery. So what did "good ol abe" do? He freed the slaves.... but not all slaves, just the slaves from the south. the northern slaves would still remain slaves, but the south's economy would crumble. Abe was also quoted to say "if there was any way i could have won the war and not freed the slaves, i would have done it." I just wanted to throw that history lesson in there for all of you mis-informed people that equate the confederate flag with racism, or a "**** flag, or the SS" or Rednecks, it's not your fault it's what the schools teach. History is written by the victor and what they teach in school about the civil war is only the half of it. So why does any of that matter? I'll tell you why, what would be different if the South would have won?

Our country would have been more in line with what the founders had in mind had the South won. Our founding fathers never intended the intrusive and confiscatory system of big government that we have now. Laws, as they should, would be made at the local and state level and a weak federal system could not inflict itself on the people.

We would have no personal income tax, which in itself is unconstitutional. Most of the socialists that redistribute wealth would not have the money base to squander that they do now or experiment with social programs bought at the expense of someone else's labor. The federal government would be out of education, welfare, roads, construction and healthcare and all the other nonsense they claim as their domain. All of these would be done at the local level with the watchful eye of the local public. The founders were smarter than we realize. They knew that strong centralized government was not good for the people. The very reason the right to keep and bear arms is in the constitution is not to protect you from grizzly bears but to protect you from the government. They even advocate the overthrow of the government if it becomes oppressive. Of course our government schools would never teach that truth. As far as the army is concerned, the federal government could do that with money collected from tariffs, not personal income taxes. But alas, we did not win. The Lost Cause (State's Rights) was lost and now we have a form of democracy (mob rule) that little resembles the Republic that those Founders birthed so many years ago.

If the south had won the civil war the country would be different no doubt about it, but first slavery needs to be addressed. Slavery would have still been abolished. First, it is cheaper to pay a man $1 a day and make him buy his own food and shelter rather than to support him fully. Second, groups of slaves would not be at your home where they might want to start a rebellion. The country would still have been divided and the South would still be a states' rights government and the north still a strong central government.

So that's my long *** post on why i wear those 2 patches, hope some of you learned a few things. And if the economy ever collapses and there is chaos and civil unrest in the streets, i vote that we re instate the Confederate States of America and secede. That would mean we would owe no money to other countries, no debt. and the multi-millions of dollars of Army equipment that just so happens to be mainly in the South would build our Army. Everything would be done at the local level... but hell, like that would ever happen. I guess thinking like that makes me a "terrorist" haha. Ride safe.

I like both.
If we got rid of every flag that flew over any area that committed any type of atrocities, there would not be many left out there. If the Rebel Flag signifies slavery, then the American flag signifies ethnic cleansing. It was the flag flown during the American Indian wars, was it not? Any other symbols you can think of that should be banned?
Oh yeah, there is one symbol that has been used during countless atrocities. Including mass genocide.

That's quite a second post.

So, welcome to the forum!

There is also a political section where folks discuss history, politics, or their personal manifesto. Scroll down, check it out. Nice folks there.

After that post you should start selling those patches, or at least telling folks not in the south where to get 'em.

Good post and nice patch

I like it. That flag was a common sight when I was growing up, and in past years it has been deemed offensive. That just shows what kind of influence the liberal media has had over people's minds.

My great great great grandfather was in the Confederate army, and he was a P.O.W (released before the end of the war in a prisoner exchange.)

I'd wear that vest proudly if I were you.

I like the vest, your choice of patches may be questionable to some. What kind of vest is it?
