I've had one now for 2 years and I have had no issues what so ever with it.
I've heard that the jack they use has "less than desirable" seals in it, so I make sure I bring the bike up high enough to catch the first dog on the lock, then I release the pressure on the jack.

My Sears (red) jack won't slide under my old softail so I roll the front wheel on a 2*6 then it works fine.

A while back I got the yellow HF jack, I think it was on sale for 89 or so.

Only thing ya got to get used to is, when ya go to let the bike down, you have to press the pedal all the way, if you try and press the pedal lightly, it falls like a brick, but mash it down all the way, it goes down slowly...???

I got used to it, but the first time scared the crap outa me...

Whatever ya do...don't get the aluminum one, when it's at full height, it gets "teattery" I don't think the aluminum has enough strength..

not bad - i think it's $99 "on sale" or 129 MSRP.

I got it for the same price by making them match the online price + 25% 4th of july discount.

Ditto the pedal. mash it to lower and lift from the right side. the left side will have the sidestand as a backup.
