Couple of Helmet Questions
#11
many helmts (higher end) have a button on the buckle and on the tip of the strap. Once you are done synching it down, you just button together and bam - no more slack.
the red strip on the buckle is to help loosen the d-rings more easily. i have to admit i've never used it.

I don't recommend using a quick disconnect. You don't want it quick disconnecting if your head hits the pavement. The quick disconnect add on hasn't been tested for safety. How long does it take to put it through the loops? Are you saving so much time?

Not the same helmet, but I added velcro to my excess strap when I put the quick disconnect on. Not sure why you need pics, just sew the two parts of the velcro on to the two parts of the strap you want to hold together.

[QUOTE=nevil;8566508]I know you said you don't want to cut it and I used to be reluctant to do that. But now if I get a helmet with excess strap I just cut it and fuse the end with heat.
This is what I do to.
