Synthetic Oil Additives
Did anyone happen to read the article by Kip Woodring in Thunder Press about the anti-wear additive ZDDP and its life shortening effect on catalytic converters? ZDDP is the stuff in synthetics that prevents metal to metal contact. Also talks about an additive "liquid titanium" that some oil companies are using already. The article said some testing shows 15% less wear on cam lobes and 46% less crosshatch wear.

There is a chart with about 20 major oils listing ZDDP in the form of Phosphorous with this article.
This is a learning experience to me on this subject but with a little googleing it appears to be there and prevents the oils from receiving API certification.
Amsoil XL-7500 is API certified while thier other products are not as an example
