I hit a coyote one night running about 90 mph... Ran over the snout with rear wheel.. Canine calculus is deeply ingrained... A last moment speed change and swerve usually does it, but only if you have a couple moments advance warning..

That sucks but the asshat shouldn't let the dogs run loose. most don't relize that they are responsible for the accidents their animals cause. Glad you came out of it on the good side

The owner was a stand up guy. He knew that he was responsible for any damage.
That is the problem with letting dogs run loose at will. A caring pet owner would not do that.
