struts are horribly uncomfortable, not the same ride as a real hardtail, the struts basically put all the force of the impact directly on your lumbar. i wouldn't recommend that at all.

when i said hard mount it, i was talking about the seat, you can mount those solo seats without the mounting springs, they look real good. it is still a good looking bike i just think it works better if the solo seat is missing the springs.
