I'm gonna back mine up on the treadmill (reversed cogs), get her up to a good speed and sprint past her as she runs the tread.

I only had my bike for 3 days and yeah,I made one of my friends take it for a blast just so I could hear it from a different perspective.I only have the SE 2 slip-ons right now.He thought I was crazy for making him ride it just so I could hear what everybody else hears.I told him to really get on it until he got to fourth gear. Then I had him ride past me in a more civil manner, maintaining a constant speed. It sounded OK,but I think it needs a little more bark.Maybe some Vance and Hines straightshots in the future but there are so many other pipes to choose from. It's a tough decision!

I know my Rinehart TD's definately sound different from behind then they do from the saddle. Rode up to Hot Springs, AR. Rally with a friend of mine who has same setup and I led part of the way and was fairly quiet sounding (mostly wind noise) and always thought my pipes were too quiet until he past me and I rode behind him for a while. I couldn't believe the difference in sound tone and loudness! Never thought being about 3 feet ahead of the exhaust pipe could be that different in sound and that is before I had my cam job done. Now the bike is even louder with a slightly different tone.

Ha Ha, I did the same thing. Had a friend make passes while I stood on the sidewalk. It sounds so good, just the way I wanted! It does sound slightly different on the bike, but still very good, especially when I hit it hard.

I was a little shocked that it was so loud. But you know what they say about loud pipes...

I got to hear mine when the mechanic at the stealer took it out for a test ride. It was louder than I thought it was! It did sound GOOD, however!

or get us more attention so the industry is regulated even more. To me the whole loud pipes saves live is a load of hog wash. They don't do squat for you when Soccer mom, or cell phone Sally pulls out in front of you.

UNTIL the morons in law creation/enforcement take the killer cagers off the road, I'll keep my pipes and the bitches can F off.
