Learning that your bike fell over sux and is never a good thing to hear, but it happens. At least they acknowledged it and stepped up to the plate to make it right. In my book that makes them stand up people and the kind of dealer I want to do business with.

Wish it was mine and it had gone all the way. I could use new pipes and a paint job. Only time that has happened to me was I did it. That why my exhaust is scratched and I have a patch in the wrapping on my garage door trim. What surprised me was seen it coming and next thing I was on the floor. Wonder I did not brake a wrist. Old age reflexes are slow.

I wouldn't be too happy either but **** happens, give them a chance to make it right. They are obviously going to replace the damaged parts and they should be quick about it too but it wouldn't hurt to ask for some sort of "compensation" for your trouble. If they really value your buisness then they should do everything within reason to ensure your satisfaction to keep you coming back.

Nah, that's not a complete analogy.
More like the doctor comes out of the delivery room and tells you he dropped your baby. Then he offers to either give you some Viagra or screw your wife for you.

Still should've never happened there. Has this ever happened to anybody else or do I just have the worst luck in the world!!

They are ordering me a new pipe. That's suppose to make me Ferlinghetti all good!
Plenty of dealers would have given the bike back to you without saying a word. And then if you noticed, claimed that the bike was like that when you dropped it off. Sounds like you've got a reputable dealer to me.

A bike can be dropped by anyone at anytime, that includes anyone working at an HD dealership. If they fix it then I think it's a non issue, and the fact that they owned up to it and will fix it makes them a stand up dealership.

It happens. You go to work, you try to do your job and not make a mistake. You do it every day. Ooops- mistakes happen, welcome to the real world. If they are going to make it right, give them a break.

It amazes me that this doesn't happen more often. I'm amazed at how those skinny azz kids push them big bikes around like nothing!
