Are you running the 408F and 407 Dunlop on yours? I have a 2011 and have been wondering what kind of mileage to expect.

I use to run the D402's and only got an avg. of around 7 - 7.5 k on the rear and around 8 k on the front.before they hit the wear bar. I have this last time switched to a Michelin on the rear and a Bridgestone on the front.

I got 2500 out of the stock rear on my XR1200. Average around 9K-10K on the touring bike.

First, Dunlop & Metzeler make a many different tire models, so as far as anyone knows, your comparing a Ford Pinto to a Chevy Corvette.

My first 2 rear stock Dunlop 401's went 10,000 miles each. I'm now on my third Metzeler ME880 and getting 13,000 - 14,000 miles each, so obviously, they're not wearing out quicker.

I run ME 880 Marathons. Like to know your secret, cause mine don't last anywhere near that.

Well we'll find out, just put a new ME880 on the back of the Springer last night. Got a brand new Dunlop 404 on the other. Now just got to ride em bald.
