Do deer whistles really work?
You know what I'm talking about? those little things people put on their car to scare or warn deer while you drive down the road?
Do they really work?

Correct, they do not work. Do not buy them.

Had 'em on my bike for a few years. Rode directly past deer several times and they never seemed to notice. A waste.

I have read where some people say they do and some say they don't. Even if they do work to some degree, it's not 100%.
I have them on mine. I got the plastic chrome ones mounted under the tripple tree. They are cheap, not really noticeable under there, so what have you got to lose? I'm leaving mine on at least till one of them falls off by itself.
Even if they don't work, they can't hurt to have them on anyway.
How many people have a gremlin bell? Does it work? I don't see anyone taking them off because they don't work.

I had them on my last bike and never hit a deer so I guess they worked for me.

Yes, they do work. Haven't hit a deer yet. Mine is located under the lip of my front fender, been there since 2004.

No they don't.
But it looks like they work for elephants cause I've never seen one crossing the road in front of me. <g>
