I always thought they were ugly myself
The fender in that pic does make it look better but it still has that odd weird look to it

Rear fender looks better. I don't like the front fender on it though.

Now just lower the rear of the tank 2" & raise the front 2" & the bike would flow a lot better. They tank is fugly!

I agree. The whole idea of the Rocker is the Rocker-tail fender that moves with the swingarm and rides just barely above the tire. Eliminate that and you just have another Softail. Last Friday riding home from work in some traffic I had a car pull next to me in my lane. I thought "here we we go" as i was about to give him some lip, but he rolled down his window and said "I love that bike, what model is it". I told him and he said he was going to go look at one at the dealer. Five minutes later I had a medical emergency van pull up next to me in my lane again with a guy in a blue uniform driving. He yelled out, "what kind of rear end you got on that, did you build it yourself?". I told him it was a Rocker and the rear end was stock factory and he said "nice, and gave me a thumbs up". It's a cool design and looks great when you're moving.

It's definitely not a bike for everyone. It's amazing how many Harley riders ask me what model it is. Just yesterday a guy riding with my group on a Night Train asked me if it was a custom Low Rider. Don't ask me how he couldn't see it was a Softail. I've put 4000 miles on mine in the last two months.

I love and hate the Rocker a the same time. My buddy has a 08 Rocker C and it's a nice bike, but he's like 6'3" and just looks funny as hell on it since you sit up on it, not down it it. The heatland kit is a must for sure. I agree the rocker rear fender is a cool idea, but the way that stock seat sits so high up it just does not work. Plus his bike is the most uncomfortable bike I have been on. You don't see alot of Rockers where I live so it's cool to see one now and then.

If your buddy doesn't want the Heartland kit, Danny Gray makes a great seat.
That and the Shotgun Shock I have can eliminate the gap between the seat and fender.

obviuosly it looks way better!,rockers are a cool bike when you do away with factory seat!!
you wander how it,particularly with pillion seat got thru design process!!, i guess they figured they would make a fortune on people changing out the rear

I have the same feeling...a love and hate thing for the Rockers. They look bad-*** while sitting on them...but the rear fender looks like that on my rigid...I assume that was the look they were going for.
