RE: Where do you carry your registration?
I keep all my papers in my wallet...in PA they make them small enough to carry. If they need additional info, the handy computer in the cruiser will get that for them.

For those in CA...
California Vehicle Code

(b) This section does not apply when a registration card is necessarily removed from the vehicle for the purpose of application for renewal or transfer of registration , or when the vehicle is left unattended .
(c) Any violation of this section shall be cited in accordance with the provisions of Section 40610.
Amended Sec. 1, Ch. 106, Stats. 1999. Effective January 1, 2000.

CArry mine in my walllet. I have a motorcycle wallet I always keep my insurance card, HOG card, registration, gas card and some cash in. When I go riding I just take my drivers license and credit card from my everyday wallet and put them in there.

it's just a piece of paper about the tags . It ain't no title so its not like your bike paperwork can be changed. Once listed as stolen it's worthless (or may even speed up recovery if they try to use it)
Face it , if your bike gets ripped it's going to be parted out , the thieves aren't worried about the tags/title /or even proof of insurance.
I would carry mine even if not required , I show it with no problems. The last thing I wasnt to do is hassle the law if I'm stopped. I don't give them any reason to search me or my bike.....

Some very good points here but I still wouldn't want the thiefs to have my home address.
