what is alot of miles for a harley ?

Let me get this straight. You pay over 20k for a motorcycle and you think less then 25,000 miles, is alot of miles? I could never understand why people think that. I also can't wrap my head around why you take a perfect running bike apart to do "upgrades", then put it up for sale immediately. What ever happened to buying a bike and riding the wheels off it?.,,

17,800 is only one set of tires. I would consider this motorcycle just getting into its prime. My EVO had 116,000. That 17,800 represents a fair number of miles for a 1 year old bike, ie, a fair number of them on arterial or hwys. I'm on my third set of tires and I consider my bike in the middle of it's prime.

Mileage
Mileage is also relative to the year. 4000 on an old bike could be worse then high mileage. Notice I said could. And high mileage is relative as well. I bought a dyna with 34000 and haven't had a problem in 2 seasons now. Service records make a difference too. Someone who never changed the oil in 4000 vs someone who was religious about it over 25000. Id take the 25000. But used is used and no matter what its a crap shoot with anything mechanical. Good luck.

04 softail deuce
I just hit 65k on my 04 Deuce. I ride the **** out of it. I uograded cam tensioners at 43k to hydraulic, i service it every 5000 miles, i wash it every week and dry it, and its runs as good as it did when i bought it back in 2013 with 7k miles on it. And it still looks good as ****. So there. Thats all i got. Thats my 2 cents worth.
