Default It would seem Harley buyers don't like skinny front tires

Have you noticed? With the exception of the WideGlide which was discontinued but brought back, all Harley TwinCam models with a skinny front tire have been canned, some sooner, some later.
BadBoy, Deuce, Custom. Have I missed any? Apparently most people just don't like or tire of a skinny front which seem to be the case since the FatBoy is still the no. 1 Softail. Don't think it's a handling issue, mine handles great.

I would think a thin tire in front would handle better than a wide one.

No problems with mine. Love it. I had a Suzuki Intruder 1500 for a few years with the huge front tire. I really don't feel any difference with the skinny 21 on my WG, plus I love the look.

While still riding a 1999 FXR2 with a skinny 21 up front, I now mostly ride my StreetGlide with that big fat 18 on the front. Big difference in handling and ride, dont kid any body about it.

The one difference some riders don't like is that you 'feel the road' more on a skinny tired bike. There's definitely a different feel riding my FXD with a skinny front tire than one of my fat front tire bikes....not less secure...just different. If you get rattled by road work involving textured grinding, or bridge grates, then I guess a skinny front tire could be scary.

Too narrow of a contact patch. Had an 80 WG with a 21" front that one had to be careful of when braking on wet or dirty pavement. The narrow ones have a tendacy to lock up & skid.
FWIW,
Good Hunting!

Maybe I'm getting old but I prefer the skinny front tire and the skinny forks too...
