It would seem Harley buyers don't like skinny front tires

Skinny front tire bikes look great. Got a buddy I ride with has a skinny on his, complains about how light it feels in the front end at interstate speeds. Bike walks around a lot, and wind seems to play a huge factor. I don't notice it much on my ultra, even with the batwing. Still feels smooth.
There is a difference in comfort levels of each rider. Some are not bothered by it, others seem to have to white knuckle thru it.

They evern got rid of the 21" skinny front tire on the Sportster 1200C and went to a fat fornt. I love the looks of a tall skinny front tire. I know they don't handle the best, but just looks so right.

I don't think the skinny front tire makes much difference in handling I have heard this argument before In my experence with a long grate bridge in our area My wife's sporty with a wider rear tire handles better than my road king did. after I put a wide tire kit on my RK it smoothed out, I then put a narrower 21 " on the front still no wobble, I also have a 11 SE ultra with the wider back tire it also handles better on the bridge than my RK did before the wide tire kit . IMO it's the wider tire it the back that makes a bike smoother NOT the front.

I guess I'm the lone ranger on this one. You can have those skinny front tires.
I started out on an 08 1200C and loved that bike but made the mistake of taking a deluxe out on a test drive. Wow. All of those ruts and bumps I accepted as normal riding completely went away. Of course the bike is heavier, but the comfort of that bigger front tire was unmistakable.
I bought my Heritage two months later.

Love skinny front tires. Highly dislike fat front tires. Never ridden a bike with a fat tire so I have no clue the handling difference and would like to keep it that way. In my opinion Harley has eliminated the best bikes and kept the worst ones...

Had a 1999 Softail Custom as my first bike. Now riding a 2007 Ultra Classic. There's big difference in "feel" with that big front tire versus the skinny laced one on the Softail. In rain or poor road surfaces that big tire is much more stable than that skinny one. Plus you get more miles out of that big tire. I could go 7500 to10k on the skinny tire versus at least 15k on the bigger one. If I just wanted a bar-to-bar bike and didn't cruise on long rides I might have a skinny front tire on a smaller bike. But it would only be for style, not performance. YMMV.
